中國政府獎學(xué)金來華留學(xué)須知
為增進(jìn)中國人民與世界各國人民的相互了解和友誼,發(fā)展中國與世界各國在教育、科技、文化、經(jīng)貿(mào)等領(lǐng)域的交流與合作,中國政府設(shè)立了各類獎學(xué)金項(xiàng)目,資助世界各國學(xué)生、學(xué)者到中國高等學(xué)校學(xué)習(xí)、進(jìn)修及從事研究活動。
中國教育部負(fù)責(zé)制定中國政府獎學(xué)金對外招生計劃,并委托中國國家留學(xué)基金管理委員會(以下簡稱“留學(xué)基金委”)具體負(fù)責(zé)中國政府獎學(xué)金來華留學(xué)生的招生工作及日常事務(wù)的管理工作。
獲得中國政府獎學(xué)金的留學(xué)生將被安排在中國教育部指定的高等學(xué)校里學(xué)習(xí)理學(xué)、工學(xué)、農(nóng)學(xué)、醫(yī)學(xué)、經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)、法學(xué)、管理學(xué)、教育學(xué)、歷史學(xué)、文學(xué)、哲學(xué)等學(xué)科門類的相關(guān)專業(yè)。
我們熱忱歡迎各國優(yōu)秀青年學(xué)生、學(xué)者和教師到中國的高等學(xué)校學(xué)習(xí)、進(jìn)修和開展研究。
一、中國政府獎學(xué)金項(xiàng)目及申請途徑
1、中國政府獎學(xué)金(按照中國教育部獎學(xué)金計劃確定名額)
此項(xiàng)獎學(xué)金系中國教育部根據(jù)與有關(guān)國家政府、機(jī)構(gòu)、學(xué)校以及有關(guān)國際組織簽訂的教育交流協(xié)議或達(dá)成的諒解對外提供的全額獎學(xué)金或部分獎學(xué)金。包括本科生獎學(xué)金、碩士研究生獎學(xué)金、博士研究生獎學(xué)金、漢語進(jìn)修生獎學(xué)金、普通進(jìn)修生獎學(xué)金、高級進(jìn)修生獎學(xué)金。申請人須向所在國負(fù)責(zé)派遣留學(xué)生的有關(guān)部門、機(jī)構(gòu)、學(xué)?;蛑袊v所在國大使館(總領(lǐng)事館)提出申請。
2、長城獎學(xué)金(2008年提供25個名額)
此項(xiàng)獎學(xué)金系中國教育部向聯(lián)合國教科文組織提供的全額獎學(xué)金,只招收普通進(jìn)修生和高級進(jìn)修生。申請人須向所在國聯(lián)合國教科文全國委員會提出申請。
3、亞洲留學(xué)獎學(xué)金(2008年提供20個名額)
此項(xiàng)獎學(xué)金系中國教育部設(shè)立的,旨在鼓勵亞洲學(xué)生、學(xué)者在本地區(qū)國家間流動,增進(jìn)亞洲各國之間的相互了解,拓展教育交流與合作空間,提高亞洲整體教育質(zhì)量的全額獎學(xué)金。申請人須向中國駐所在國大使館(領(lǐng)事館)提出申請。
4、中國-歐盟學(xué)生交流獎學(xué)金項(xiàng)目(2008年提供100個名額)
此項(xiàng)目系中國教育部為資助歐盟各國家高中畢業(yè)生及大學(xué)生來華進(jìn)修漢語而設(shè)立的。申請人可向中國駐歐盟使團(tuán)提出申請,留學(xué)基金委不受理個人申請。
5、優(yōu)秀外國留學(xué)生獎學(xué)金(2008年提供100個名額)
此項(xiàng)獎學(xué)金系中國教育部為資助已在華完成本科或本科以上學(xué)歷教育,被錄取繼續(xù)攻讀高一級學(xué)歷的品學(xué)兼優(yōu)的留學(xué)生,或已在讀的碩士和博士優(yōu)秀研究生完成其學(xué)業(yè)而設(shè)立的全額獎學(xué)金。申請人須通過在華就讀學(xué)?;蜾浫W(xué)校的推薦,向留學(xué)基金委提出申請。
6、中華文化研究項(xiàng)目(2008年提供30個名額)
此項(xiàng)目系中國教育部為資助各國從事中國文化研究的專家、學(xué)者來華進(jìn)行短期研究而設(shè)立。申請人可通過中國有關(guān)高等學(xué)校、機(jī)構(gòu)或中國駐所在國大使館(總領(lǐng)事館)推薦,向留學(xué)基金委提出申請,亦可直接向留學(xué)基金委提出申請。
7、外國漢語教師短期研修項(xiàng)目(按照中國教育部獎學(xué)金計劃確定名額)
此項(xiàng)目系中國教育部為資助各國從事漢語教學(xué)的專職教師來華進(jìn)行短期研修而設(shè)立。申請人可通過中國駐所在國大使館(總領(lǐng)事館)推薦,向留學(xué)基金委提出申請,亦可直接向留學(xué)基金委提出申請。
二、中國政府獎學(xué)金內(nèi)容
1、中國政府獎學(xué)金分為全額獎學(xué)金和部分獎學(xué)金
1)全額獎學(xué)金
- 免交注冊費(fèi)、學(xué)費(fèi)、實(shí)驗(yàn)費(fèi)、實(shí)習(xí)費(fèi)、基本教材費(fèi)和校內(nèi)住宿費(fèi);
- 提供獎學(xué)金生活費(fèi)和一次性安置補(bǔ)助費(fèi);
- 提供門診醫(yī)療服務(wù)和中國政府獎學(xué)金來華留學(xué)生綜合醫(yī)療保險;
- 提供一次性城市間交通費(fèi)。即:新生入學(xué)時由入境口岸至學(xué)校所在城市或漢語補(bǔ)習(xí)(預(yù)科教育)學(xué)校所在城市;漢語補(bǔ)習(xí)學(xué)生(預(yù)科生)從漢語補(bǔ)習(xí)(預(yù)科教育)學(xué)校所在城市至專業(yè)院校所在城市;以及畢業(yè)生學(xué)校所在城市至出境口岸的一次性火車硬座(臥)車票。
2)部分獎學(xué)金
為全額獎學(xué)金中的一項(xiàng)或幾項(xiàng)內(nèi)容(不含安置費(fèi)、一次性城市間交通費(fèi))。
3)國際旅費(fèi)
國際旅費(fèi)原則上自理,另有協(xié)議者除外。
以上獎學(xué)金的資助標(biāo)準(zhǔn)詳見各類獎學(xué)金《申請辦法》。
三、中國政府獎學(xué)金的申請
1、招生時間和報名辦法
留學(xué)基金委受理申請時間為每年1月初至4月底。各國留學(xué)生派遣部門受理報名的具體時間請申請人徑向本國派遣機(jī)構(gòu)咨詢。
2、獎學(xué)金的申請
申請人應(yīng)符合各項(xiàng)獎學(xué)金《申請辦法》規(guī)定的基本條件,嚴(yán)格按要求認(rèn)真如實(shí)填寫?yīng)剬W(xué)金申請表,并提交學(xué)歷證明、成績單、學(xué)習(xí)計劃、健康證明及推薦信等有關(guān)申請材料。申請材料應(yīng)在《申請辦法》規(guī)定的時間內(nèi)由承辦招生事務(wù)的派遣國駐中國大使館或中國駐派遣國大使館(總領(lǐng)事館)直接寄送留學(xué)基金委。逾期申請將不予受理。詳情請參照所附各項(xiàng)獎學(xué)金的《申請辦法》。
申請人所提交的申請材料無論是否錄取均不予退還。申請人學(xué)歷證書及《外國人體格檢查記錄》等重要資料的原件務(wù)必由申請人本人保存。
3、學(xué)習(xí)院校和專業(yè)選擇
凡申請中國政府獎學(xué)金來華學(xué)習(xí)者,須從中國教育部指定的中國普通高等學(xué)校中選擇志愿院校和學(xué)習(xí)專業(yè)。詳情請查閱《接受中國政府獎學(xué)金來華留學(xué)生普通高等學(xué)校名錄》(本指南第75頁)和《接受中國政府獎學(xué)金來華留學(xué)生高等學(xué)校名錄及專業(yè)目錄介紹》,或登錄留學(xué)基金委網(wǎng)站查詢(http://laihua.csc.edu.cn)。
4、授課語言
中國普通高等學(xué)校授課語言一般為漢語。無漢語基礎(chǔ)的獎學(xué)金生在進(jìn)入專業(yè)學(xué)習(xí)前,一般要進(jìn)行1-2年的漢語補(bǔ)習(xí)。部分學(xué)校的部分研究生課程和進(jìn)修生課程可用英語授課。詳情請查閱《接受中國政府獎學(xué)金來華留學(xué)生高等學(xué)校名錄及專業(yè)目錄介紹》。
5、大學(xué)預(yù)科教育
按照中國教育部的規(guī)定,凡在中國教育部中國政府獎學(xué)金計劃規(guī)定的國家中申請來華攻讀理、工、農(nóng)、醫(yī)和經(jīng)濟(jì)類本科學(xué)位的高中畢業(yè)生,來華后需先入預(yù)科班學(xué)習(xí),課程內(nèi)容為基礎(chǔ)漢語和數(shù)理化基礎(chǔ)知識,學(xué)習(xí)期限為一學(xué)年。學(xué)習(xí)結(jié)束后考試成績合格者方可入專業(yè)院校學(xué)習(xí)。留學(xué)基金委托天津大學(xué)、南京師范大學(xué)和山東大學(xué)開辦大學(xué)預(yù)科教育試點(diǎn)班。
四、獎學(xué)金生的錄取
1、留學(xué)基金委對獎學(xué)金申請人的申請材料進(jìn)行審核,并有權(quán)對其所選擇的學(xué)習(xí)專業(yè)、年限和就讀學(xué)校進(jìn)行適當(dāng)?shù)恼{(diào)整。申請人條件不符合招生規(guī)定或申請材料不全,視為申請無效,不予受理。
2、經(jīng)留學(xué)基金委審核合格的申請材料將轉(zhuǎn)送有關(guān)學(xué)校,由學(xué)校決定是否錄取。如申請人已事先與上述學(xué)校取得聯(lián)系并得到入學(xué)許可,請?jiān)谏暾埐牧现懈缴蠈W(xué)校的《錄取通知書》或邀請信,留學(xué)基金委將把申請人材料直接寄送錄取或邀請學(xué)校辦理有關(guān)手續(xù)。
3、獲得中國普通高等學(xué)校錄取的獎學(xué)金申請人,經(jīng)留學(xué)基金委批準(zhǔn)后即可獲得中國政府獎學(xué)金。獎學(xué)金獲得者名單報中國教育部備案。
4、留學(xué)基金委將在7月31日前將《錄取名單》、《錄取通知書》和《外國留學(xué)人員來華簽證申請表》(JW201表)寄送承辦招生事務(wù)的相關(guān)部門,由其將上述文件轉(zhuǎn)交學(xué)生本人。
五、來華簽證及來華報到注冊
1、申請來華學(xué)習(xí)簽證
已獲得中國政府獎學(xué)金的留學(xué)生,須持《錄取通知書》、《外國留學(xué)人員來華簽證申請表》(JW201表)和《外國人體格檢查記錄》的原件和復(fù)印件,以及本人的有效普通護(hù)照到中國大使館或總領(lǐng)事館申請來華學(xué)習(xí)簽證。其中來華學(xué)習(xí)時間超過六個月者,須申請“X1”簽證;學(xué)習(xí)時間不滿六個月者,須申請“X2”簽證。獎學(xué)金生必須持上述各項(xiàng)文件的原件來華入校報到。凡持其它種類的護(hù)照、簽證及未持上述文件的原件來華者,學(xué)校將不予注冊,亦不能辦理在華居留手續(xù)。
2、報到和注冊
獎學(xué)金獲得者須持《錄取通知書》及“201表”原件按《錄取通知書》上規(guī)定的入學(xué)日期前往學(xué)校報到,辦理注冊手續(xù)。因故不能按期報到者,應(yīng)直接向有關(guān)學(xué)校請假。未經(jīng)學(xué)校批準(zhǔn)而逾期不報到者,按自動放棄學(xué)籍處理,所獲得的中國政府獎學(xué)金的資格亦自動取消。
3、健康認(rèn)證和居留許可
健康認(rèn)證:來華學(xué)習(xí)時間超過六個月的獎學(xué)金生,來華后須在規(guī)定的時間內(nèi)持本人護(hù)照、《錄取通知書》、《外國人體格檢查記錄》和血液化驗(yàn)單原件到衛(wèi)生檢疫部門辦理健康認(rèn)證?!锻鈬梭w格檢查記錄》不合格者將被要求重新進(jìn)行體檢。拒不接受體檢或經(jīng)體檢被查出患有中國法律規(guī)定不得入境的疾病者,將被限期離境回國。
居留許可:獎學(xué)金生須于抵華之日起30天之內(nèi),通過健康認(rèn)證或重新體檢合格后,持本人護(hù)照、《錄取通知書》和《外國留學(xué)人員來華簽證申請表》(JW201表)到學(xué)校所在的當(dāng)?shù)毓膊块T辦理居留許可手續(xù)。
以上所發(fā)生的各項(xiàng)費(fèi)用自理。
六、中轉(zhuǎn)服務(wù)
8月25日至9月15日期間,留學(xué)基金委委托北京語言大學(xué)成立中國政府獎學(xué)金來華留學(xué)生中轉(zhuǎn)服務(wù)站,向經(jīng)北京轉(zhuǎn)往其它城市學(xué)習(xí)的享受中國政府全額獎學(xué)金和部分獎學(xué)金的來華新生提供中轉(zhuǎn)服務(wù)。
1、向中轉(zhuǎn)的全額獎學(xué)金和免住宿費(fèi)的部分獎學(xué)金留學(xué)生提供中轉(zhuǎn)期間的免費(fèi)校內(nèi)住宿,住宿標(biāo)準(zhǔn)為二人一間;
2、向中轉(zhuǎn)的全額獎學(xué)金和免醫(yī)療費(fèi)的部分獎學(xué)金留學(xué)生提供在中轉(zhuǎn)期間的正常醫(yī)療服務(wù)。
3、向中轉(zhuǎn)的全額獎學(xué)金留學(xué)生提供赴就讀院校所在城市的硬座(臥)火車票。
請中國駐有關(guān)派遣國大使館(總領(lǐng)事館)、有關(guān)派遣國駐中國大使館或留學(xué)生本人務(wù)必于抵京前一周,將留學(xué)生抵達(dá)日期、航班(車次)通知中轉(zhuǎn)服務(wù)站。

七、獎學(xué)金生的專業(yè)變更、轉(zhuǎn)學(xué)和學(xué)習(xí)期限的延長
獎學(xué)金獲得者來華后原則上不得變更經(jīng)其本人在《錄取通知書》和“201表”上簽字同意的錄取院校、學(xué)習(xí)專業(yè)及學(xué)習(xí)期限。
八、獎學(xué)金年度評審
根據(jù)《中國政府獎學(xué)金年度評審辦法》,凡獲準(zhǔn)在華學(xué)習(xí)期限超過一學(xué)年的獎學(xué)金生,均須按規(guī)定參加獎學(xué)金年度評審。學(xué)校將根據(jù)《中國政府獎學(xué)金年度評審辦法》的規(guī)定,對獎學(xué)金生的學(xué)習(xí)成績、學(xué)習(xí)態(tài)度、考勤情況、行為表現(xiàn)、獎懲等情況進(jìn)行綜合評審。評審合格者,方有資格繼續(xù)享受下一學(xué)年度獎學(xué)金。評審不合格者,從下一學(xué)年起將被中止或取消享受獎學(xué)金的資格。詳情請參閱《中國政府獎學(xué)金年度評審辦法》。

NOTICE TO INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
STUDYING IN CHINA UNDER CHINESE GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME
In order to strengthen mutual understanding and friendship between the Chinese people and people from the whole world, and to develop cooperation and exchange in fields of education, science, culture, economy and trade between China and other countries, Chinese government has set up a series of scholarship schemes to sponsor international students and scholars to undertake studies and research in Chinese institutions of higher education.
The Ministry of Education of China (hereinafter referred to as MOEC) is responsible for the provision of Chinese government scholarships, and it entrusts China Scholarship Council (hereinafter referred to as CSC) to administer the recruitment of international students and the routine management of Chinese Government Scholarship Programmes.
International students under Chinese Government Scholarship Programmes will be placed in Chinese institutions of higher education designated by MOEC. Various specialties in science, technology, agronomy, medicine, economics, laws, management, education, history, liberal arts and philosophy are available to international students in these institutions.
We welcome outstanding students, scholars and teachers from all countries coming to study or undertake research in institutions of higher education in China.
Chinese Government Scholarship Programme and Application
1. Chinese Government Scholarship Scheme (Recruitment Quota Specified on MOEC Scholarship Scheme)
It was established by MOEC in accordance with educational exchange agreements or understandings reached between Chinese government and governments of other countries, education organs, institutions and relevant international organizations to provide both full scholarships and partial scholarships to international students and scholars. The scheme supports students who come to study in China as undergraduates, postgraduates, Chinese language students, general scholars and senior scholars. Applicants may apply for the scholarship through the competent authorities, appointed institutions or the Chinese diplomatic missions in their home countries.
2. CHINA/UNESCO – the Great Wall Fellowship Scheme (25 scholarships available in 2008)
This is a full scholarship scheme set up by MOECfor candidates recommended by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). Scholarships for general scholar and senior scholar are eligible. Applicants may apply to the UNESCO National Committee in the applicant’s home country.
3. Study in Asia Scholarship Scheme (20 scholarships available in 2008)
It is a full scholarship scheme established by MOEC to stimulate the mobility of Asian students and scholars in Asian area, to strengthen mutual understanding among the people from Asian countries,to develop cooperation and exchange in fields of education, and to promote Asian education quality. Applicants may apply to the Chinese diplomatic missions in the applicant’s home country.
4. Chinese Government Scholarship program (EU Window) (100 scholarships available in 2008)
It is a full scholarship scheme set up by MOEC for European youth from senior middle school or college to learn Chinese in China. Applicants may apply to Mission of P. R China to the European Union. CSC does not accept individual applications.
5. Distinguished International Students Scholarship Scheme (100 scholarships available in 2008)
It is a full scholarship scheme established by MOEC to sponsor outstanding international students who have finished their Bachelor’s or Master’s education in China and have been enrolled by designated Chinese institutions as Master’s or Doctoral candidates or are now carrying out their Master’s or Doctoral studies in those institutions. Applicants may apply to CSC for the scholarship through recommendation of their host institutions.
6. Chinese Culture Research Fellowship Scheme (30 scholarships available in 2008)
The scheme was established by MOEC to sponsor overseas scholars and specialists of Chinese culture to conduct short-term research in China. Applicants may apply to CSC through the recommendation of relevant Chinese institutions of higher education, authorities or the Chinese diplomatic missions in their home countries or directly to CSC.
7. Short-term Scholarship Scheme for Foreign Teachers of Chinese Language (Recruitment Quota Specified on MOEC Scholarship Scheme)
It was established by MOECto sponsor international teachers of Chinese language to do short-term training and research in China. Applicants may apply to CSC through the Chinese diplomatic missions in their home countries or directly to CSC.
Details of the Chinese Government Scholarships
1. Chinese Government Scholarship is divided into full scholarship and partial scholarship.
1)Full scholarship:
- Exempt from registration fee, tuition fee, fee for laboratory experiment, fee for internship, fee for basic learning materials and intramural accommodation;
- Living allowance and a one-off settlement subsidy;
- Fee for outpatient medical service, Comprehensive Medical Insurance and Benefit Plan for International Students in China;
- A hard-seat train ticket between the port of entry on registration or the port of departure on graduation and the city where the host university or the university of Chinese language studies(or the university of preparatory education) is located (a hard-berth train ticket for over-night trip).
2)Partial scholarship: One or some items of the full scholarship (one-off settlement subsidy and one-off inter-city travel allowance not included).
3)International travel expenses: Applicants are expected to meet their own international travel expenses unless it is set otherwise in bilateral agreements or arrangements.

Application for Chinese Government Scholarships
1. Application and Recruitment
The application season for the Chinese Government Scholarship Program is from January to April annually. Details on the application procedures should be consulted directly to the dispatching organization in the applicant’s home country.
2. Scholarship Application
Applicants should meet the basic qualifications prescribed in the Application Procedures, and must fill in the application forms strictly in accordance with requirements. They also need to provide relevant application materials including notarized photocopies of diplomas, transcripts, study plan, health certificate and recommendation letters. Application materials for scholarships must reach CSC before the deadline as specified in Application Procedures via the embassy in China or the Chinese diplomatic missions in the applicant’s home country. Application materials arrived after the deadline will not be processed. Please check the attached Application Procedures for details.
Application materials will not be returned regardless of the result of application. Documents such as original diplomas and original Foreign Physical Examination Form must NOT be sent as application materials.
3. Choice of Institutions of Higher Education and Specialty
Applicants for Chinese Government Scholarships must choose their host institutions and specialties from the institutions of higher education designated by MOEC. Please check the
Directory of the Chinese Institutions Admitting International Students under Chinese Government Scholarship Programme or the website of
CSC (http://
laihua.csc.edu.cn) for details.
4. Language Used in Teaching
The Chinese institutions of higher education generally use Chinese as instruction language. Applicants with no command of Chinese are generally required to take Chinese language courses for 1-2 years before their major studies. In some institutions, some courses set for general scholars, senior scholars and postgraduate students can be conducted in English. Please refer Directory of the Chinese Institutions Admitting International Students under Chinese Government Scholarship Programme for details.
5. Preparatory Education held in Chinese institutions of higher education
According to the regulation of MOEC, applicants from the scheme-specified countries who are to pursue the bachelor degree of science and technology, engineering, agronomy, medicine and economics are required to take a one-year foundation course(preparatory education), which cover the fundamentals of Chinese language, mathematics, physics and chemistry. The students who are qualified in the foundation course could start their undergraduate studies on time as specified on their Admission Notice. CSC entrusts Tianjin University,Nanjing Normal University and Shandong University to set the foundation class.
Recruitment of Scholarship Students
1. CSC will review all the application materials sent by the appointed authorities. CSC is authorized to make necessary adjustments on the proposed institutions, specialties and duration of the applicant’s study in China. The application will not be processed if it is inconsistent with the recruitment requirements or the application materials are incomplete.
2. Qualified applications will be forwarded to the institutions and the final decision whether to admit the applicants or not will be made by them. If the applicant has been accepted by an institution (122 institutions specified by MOEC listed in the Directory) prior to application, the applicant is required to enclose the relevant admission letters.
3. Scholarship applicants accepted by Chinese institutions of higher education will be officially awarded the Chinese Government Scholarship with endorsement from CSC and submitted to MOEC for the record.
4. CSC will send the List of Accepted Students, Admission Notice and Visa Application Form for Study In China (JW201)to the relevant dispatching authorities by July 31, so as to have the documents forwarded to the students.
Visa Application and Registration in China
1. Visa Application
Students under Chinese Government Scholarship Program should apply for visa to study in China at the Chinese embassy or consulate-general with the original documents and one set of photocopies of the Admission Notice, Visa Application for Study In China (JW201)and Foreigner Physical Examination Formandvalidordinary passport. Those whose study period in China is above 6 month needs to apply for “X1” visa, and those who shall stay in China for less than 6 months (including 6 months) should apply for “X2” visa. The scholarship students must enter China with the original copies of the above documents. Whoever comes to China with other types of passports, visas or without the original documents will not be able to register with the institution, nor will they be able to apply for residence permit in China.
2. Registration
International students must register with the institution at the time specified in the Admission Notice. Those who are unable to register on time must seek permission from the institution directly. Those who fail to register without the prior consent of the institution will be considered as voluntarily giving up the enrollment and the scholarship will automatically be withdrawn.
3. Health Verification and Residence Registration
Health verification: Scholarship holders who are to stay in China for more than 6 months are requested to bring their passports, Admission Notice, and the original copies of Foreigner Physical Examination Formand the Blood Test Reportto the local quarantine office within the set time to have their medical examination verified. International students whose Foreigner Physical Examination Form do not meet the requirement will have to re-take medical examination. Those who refuse to re-take the medical examination or are diagnosed as suffering from diseases that are not permitted to enter China under the Chinese laws and regulations will be required to leave China.
Residence registration: After the health verification, the scholarship holders must apply for residence permit to the local police authority within 30 days on their arrival with their passports, Admission Notice and Visa Application Form for Study In China (JW201).
The costs of medical examination , the international travel and residence registration should be born by the international students themselves.
Transfer SERVICE
The Transfer Service Station for Chinese Government Scholarship students will provide free transfer service (including intramural accommodation, hard-seat or hard-berth train ticket and necessary medical service)to new full-scholarship students who have to make a stopover in Beijing between August 25th and September 15th. And meanwhile intramural accommodation and necessary medical service will respectively provide for the partial scholarship students whose scholarship covers accommodation or medical service. The embassies in China or Chinese diplomatic missions concerned are kindly requested to give the Transfer Service Station one week in advance the notice of arrival date as well as the numbers of flight or train.

Those who arrive in Beijing before or after the above-mentioned period of time or who have to make a stopover in cities other than Beijing will need to make their own arrangement to reach their universities. The universities shall reimburse the hard-seat or hard-berth train ticket between the port of entry and the city where the university is located according to existing regulations.
CHANGE OF MAJOR OR INSTITUTION AND EXTENSION OF STUDY
Students are not permitted, in principle, to change their specialties, institutions or the duration of study specified in the Admission Noticeand the Visa Application for Study in China (JW201) after registration.
THE Annual Review of CHINESE GOVERNMENT Scholarship STATUS
In accordance with the Measures for the Annual Review of Chinese Government Scholarship Status, international scholarship students who have been approved to study in China for more than one year must participate in the Annual Review. The institutions will make a comprehensive review of the scholarship students and their academic record, including learning attitude, lecture attendance, and conduct performance, rewards and punishment. Those who pass the Annual Review will be qualified to enjoy the scholarship for the following academic year. Those who fail in the Annual Review will have their scholarship for the following academic year suspended or terminated.
